Apparently flying the national flag is ‘disturbing, intimidating and does NOT reflect British values’, according to the Chair of the Association of Police and Crime Commissioners 

An article on GB News quotes the above office holder, Emily Spurrell, thus. This attitude seems inexplicable, particularly from a senior office holder in the public sector.

We can only hope for a clarification of what she meant, given that flying the national flag is a universally acknowledged patriotic gesture meant to indicate national togetherness.
